“In human societies there will always be differences of views and interests. But the reality today is that we are all interdependent and have to coexist on this small planet. Therefore, the only sensible and intelligent way of resolving differences and clashes of interests, whether between individuals or nations, is through dialogue. The promotion of a culture of dialogue and nonviolence for the future of mankind is thus an important task of the international community.”

Facilitation, Dialogue, and Mediation for Small Business and Organizations
Effective dialogue is the cornerstone of healthy communities of any scale – be they tied by geography/municipality, faith, employment, or other shared values or interests. Facilitating an effective and goal-oriented dialogue is challenging.
We provide facilitation of many types of dialogues with many types of goals including:
- Exploration: to learn more about community members, a group, or an issue
- Conflict Transformation: to address existing conflicts within the group
- Decision-Making: to elicit feedback on an impending policy, project, or decision
- Collaboration: to discuss and take action and responsibility for complex challenges
A well-facilitated dialogue or series of dialogues can have lasting benefits for your organization including:
- Improved understanding
- Increased community engagement
- Improved attitude of stakeholders
- More effective operations
- Improved relationships
- Reduction in existing and potential conflicts
- Better decision-making
- Improved problem solving skills
Ellen displayed her uncanny ability to maneuver people through landmines of conflict, keep meetings on track, help find a compassionate angle from which to view dissenting opinions, and lead focused group meetings with strict agendas and goals.
